Hello everyone! I have another super cute card that I CASE’d. It was inspired by The Craft Sergeant. You can see her’s HERE. It also happens to feature a technique that is my Tip of the Week!
Looking at the card below, it is a little hard to tell, but I used the stamp off technique with my images. Here is my weekly tip. . . if you want to use a light color, but don’t have it, stamp off the color you are using. This will give you a lighter version of the color you are using. Here’s how:
- Ink your stamp and either stamp on your project or on a scrap piece of paper.
- DO NOT clean your stamp, rather stamp it again with re-inking. Voila…you have a lighter version of the ink you just used!
I started with an 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ piece of Soft Suede Card stock, folded in half. I attache a piece of 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ Wood Textures DSP to the front of the card. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla to measure 5 1/2″ X 2 3/4″. I built my cactus scene on this piece using Pear Pizazz, Garden Green, Soft Suede, and Calypso Coral Ink. I used the stamp off technique with some of the images.
I added the scene to the front of my card. Then I added a 5 1/2″ X 2 3/4″ piece of Vellum Cardstock as an overlay to my scene.
Lastly, I stamped my greeting on a piece of 2 1/2″ X 15/16″ Very Vanilla cardstock. I cut the banner end using the Triple Banner Punch.
