Be Mine Valentine

Good morning everyone! I’m here to show case my January 2019 Paper Pumpkin alternatives. The January kit was titled Be Mine Valentine, and it was designed to coordinate with the Animal Expedition suite in the annual catalog (don’t have the current catalogs? Contact me today and I will get you one in the mail). This kit came with everything you need to create 24 adorable Pillow Boxes to fill with Valentine treats! This is the reason I love Paper Pumpkin. The only thing I have to add each month is a clear block (which I got for FREE in my first kit) and a pair of scissors.

So, I usually create one or two of the intended projects, this way I can show you what they look like and any tips or tricks for making assembly easier.

Once you are done with the kit, you have a stamp set and an ink spot that you can continue to use over and over again. This is why I will think outside of the box and create some alternative projects that you can make. The February kit is going to be adorable. In case you missed it, here is a little sneak peek!

Sign up for Paper Pumpkin here by February 10th, and I will enter you in a drawing to win a new, unopened January kit! Below are my alternative projects for January!

This first one uses the chameleon cut out, the stamp set, and a few of the epoxy hearts. I used Pool Party card stock and ink and a piece of the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper from my stash of stuff.

For this card, I used Flirty Flamingo card stock and ink and Melon Mambo ink. I used one each of the kangaroo and chameleon cut outs and a few of the heart cut outs.

So this one uses almost all of the kit items except for the card base. I used Melon Mambo card stock for my base. The layer that the heart is on id a piece of one of the pillow boxes. I flipped one of the hearts from the kit over and colored it with my Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write marker.

I want to remind everyone about my By Mail Note Card class for this month. You can email me to register for the class up until the 15th of this month. This months note cards are going to use a Sale-A-Bration item. The So Hoppy Together stamp set.

This final card is the one that I showcased in my video. I used an 8 1/2″ X 11″ piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock. I cut a strip of the Animal Expedition DSP 2 1/4″ X 5 1/2″. I punched a 2″ circle out of Whisper White card stock. Stamp your image and sentiment on the white circle and color in your image. I used my Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, and Berry Burst Stampin’ Write Markers.

A few other pieces of info before I let you go today. Sale-A-Bration 2nd release starts February 15th and there are some really cute items.
