Happy August everyone! I hope you have great plans for this final month of summer! This is my birthday month. Yay!!
I will be 35 years old on the 20th! So to celebrate, I want to give you a FREE gift!
Place a qualifying order of $35* or more in my online store during this month of August, and I will gift you a pack of Pearl Basic Jewels.
Or…as a toast to the next 35 years to come, place a qualifying order of $70* or more and I will gift you a Classic Ink Pad of your choice (email me after placing your order to let me know what color ink you would like).
Either way, I will send your gift to you separate from your order. It will arrive mid September “embellished with a little coral.”
To qualify for this gift…
Your order must be placed in my online store by August 30, 2018.
You must apply this host code to your order if your order is $35 – $149.99*: RYZ6PBNP
(Do not apply that code if your order is $150* or more. Instead, your order of this size will automatically qualify you for the gift of pearls or an ink pad AND earn you Stampin’ Rewards!)
You need to email me to tell me what ink color you’d like (if ordering $70+). Otherwise, I will surprise you!!

And now for my creation for today! This is one of the cards I shared during my live class on Friday night…which was a total train wreck. I forgot my scissors, my ribbon, and my Big Shot. But I did manage to create some pretty cards.
Here is the card I created for the class. It is called a recessed panel card. I cut some flowers out of my DSP and attached the, to the top of the card. My greeting is from All Things Thanks.
This is the one I demonstrated during my class. This was where I realized I had forgotten my scissors. To make the card, here is what you do:
~ Cut your card base to measure 8 ½” X 5 ½”, score and fold in half at 4 ¼”
~ Adhere a piece of DSP measuring 5 ½” X 4 ¼” to the card front.
~ Cut 2 pieces of coordinating cardstock to measure 5 ½” X 4 ½”. I used Powder Pink and Whisper White.
~ Take one piece of the cardstock, and on the long side, measure in ¾’ from the left and make a small mark on the bottom of the cardstock. Move the cardstock in to 1 1/8” and make another mark on the bottom of the cardstock. Finally, measure in to 3” and make a mark on the top of the cardstock.
~ Put both pieces of cardstock together so the piece with your marks is on top.
~ Place your cardstock diagonally on your trimmer so that the ¾” and 3” marks are lined up in the cutting line and cut.
~ Now place the cardstock in your trimmer so that the 1 1/8” mark and the bottom corner of the cardstock line up in the cutting line and cut.
~ Discard the middle piece.
~ Line up the two colors and adhere together so that there is a little edge showing.
~ Adhere these to your card base and embellish as desired.
Here is the recorder video of my brodcast if you’d like to see what I did instead of reading.
This was a really long post with a lot of information, so if you stuck it out until here, I am offering a little sneak peek at the new Holiday catalog that will be out soon. My newsletter subscribers already saw it on August 1st, so if you missed that be sure to subscribe to my newsletter.
Isn’t that cover simply beautiful? I got my copy with my box of preorder goodies (one of the perks of being a demonstrator) and it is amazing! I can’t wait to start sharing my projects with you!
Until next time, happy stamping!
